Vineyard Wind – Massachusetts, USA

Located 15 miles off the coast of Massachusetts, Vineyard Wind, the nation’s first, utility-scale, off-shore wind farm will generate clean, renewable energy for over 400,000 homes and businesses in the region. Metro Wire provided key design-assistance, procurement, and staged delivery for a variety of products to achieve this project’s success. Products ranged from substation control wire and cable, instrumentation/controls, fiber-optic cable, and several other wire/cable products and electrical components.

Meridian Wind Park – Midland/Saginaw, MI

Meridian Wind Park, located across Mid-Michigan in Midland and Saginaw counties, is one of the state’s largest wind-parks. With more than 77 wind turbines, this site generates enough clean energy to power approximately 80,000 homes. Metro Wire & Cable provided a variety of power, medium-voltage, substation/collection, and bare copper wire and cable products to achieve the success of this project.

Line That Brings Light – Ontario, Canada

Metro Wire & Cable provided a substantial, just-in-time delivery of overhead ACSR power cable to Ontario, Canada for the ‘line that brings light’ to their remote, residential, indigenous communities. This is a 2023 ‘Clean50 Top’ Project award winner. Canada’s Clean50 Top Projects are chosen annually based on their innovation, their ability to inform, and inspire other Canadians.

Temple Substation – Detroit, MI
