
Metro Wire & Cable Corp. provided power, medium voltage, and grounding for the Arizona State University & Red Rocks Solar collaborative photovoltaic (PV), concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) and solar thermal systems project. ASU’s solar portfolio is the largest of any university in North America, and perhaps the world!

Metro Wire & Cable provided key design assistance and material fulfilment for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s new “Fire Station 40”. This LEED Gold certified, new, ground-up facility required heightened security measures, communication systems, and specialty high-temperature and moisture blocking solutions to achieve this project’s success.

Located 15 miles off the coast of Massachusetts, Vineyard Wind, the nation’s first, utility-scale, off-shore wind farm will generate clean, renewable energy for over 400,000 homes and businesses in the region. Metro Wire provided key design-assistance, procurement, and staged delivery for a variety of products to achieve this project’s success. Products ranged from substation control wire and cable, instrumentation/controls, fiber-optic cable, and several other wire/cable products and electrical components.

Due to the region’s growth, the Washington (DC) Metropolitan Area Transit Authority recently completed the Potomac Yard (Alexandria, Virginia) transit station. Expected to help assist nearly 2.5 million passengers annually, Metro Wire provided power, control, medium-voltage, and low-voltage wire and cable solutions, on-time, and under budget to assist with this key infrastructure project completion.

One of the oldest commercial, retail, and business office buildings in downtown Detroit (MI), Metro Wire & Cable provided key power and infrastructure cable to assist with this historic site’s renovation. The thirty-eight-story skyscraper underwent major re-development and renovations recently and we are excited to see the project’s success.

Meridian Wind Park, located across Mid-Michigan in Midland and Saginaw counties, is one of the state’s largest wind-parks. With more than 77 wind turbines, this site generates enough clean energy to power approximately 80,000 homes. Metro Wire & Cable provided a variety of power, medium-voltage, substation/collection, and bare copper wire and cable products to achieve the success of this project.

One of the largest, major highway transformation projects in Georgia over the past 25 years, Metro Wire & Cable provided traffic signal and street lighting to this major local, regional, State and Federal infrastructure project. Located in Augusta, Georgia, this major route was first built in the 1960’s and Metro Wire has provided key upgrades over the past decade to improve the safety and maneuverability of this major artery around Georgia’s second largest city.

One of the nation’s largest and busiest airports, Detroit Metropolitan International Airport (DTW) has undergone major transformation over the past decade, including regular and routine maintenance to keep up to date with the latest safety and reliability measures. Metro Wire & Cable has served as a valued partner in these updates, providing airport/runway lighting to DTW’s main taxiways, takeoff, and landing areas.

Metro Wire & Cable provided the main power and medium voltage cable used to operate Detroit, Michigan’s light rail system. The Q-Line/M1 Rail has 20 stations along the nearly 3.5-mile route and has been one of the Midwest’s largest infrastructure projects over the past 30 years.

Metro Wire & Cable provided low voltage, HVAC, and control wire and cable when Mercedes-Benz stadium was constructed in 2017. Metro Wire has continued to provide valued service to the arena since inception with various service and maintenance requests, as well as new concourse, restroom, and food/beverage upgrades since then.
