We serve a broad spectrum of markets and client bases that includes electrical contractors, public/regional utilities, IMSA/Transportation Contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturers, wind farm developers, and municipalities. As our business has continued to grow, it has become necessary for us to expand to additional locations around the country. Our headquarters is now located in Sterling Heights, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. Additionally, we have added two regional distribution centers.
In 1981, when our company was just five years old, we expanded to Atlanta, Georgia, to establish our Southeast Regional Distribution Center. Our most recent expansion occurred in 2008 when we opened our Midwest Regional Distribution Center in Iowa City, Iowa.
Don Ezop founded Metro Wire & Cable in 1976. In 2016, he and his wife (Cheryl) sold the company to Devin Ezop. Devin had served Metro Wire in several capacities since 2008, including that of general manager and assisting in the establishment of Metro Wire – Iowa City. His qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy and experience in Operations, Supply Chain and Human Resources with a large utility provider.
Metro Wire & Cable executives have gained recognition both in the community and in the industry. Vice President Nathan Tallman was recognized by Corp! Detroit Business Magazine as a Most Valuable Professional and by the Michigan Business Professionals Association as a Community Champion. Owner, President, and CEO Devin Ezop was honored within the industry as one of the “30 Under 35” by The Electrical Distributor Magazine.
